Coastal Pop Surrealism Inspired by the Gulf Coast

C. Scott Art explores the space between reality and imagination through a style best described as Coastal Pop Surrealism. Drawing inspiration from the Gulf Coast's wildlife, waterways, landmarks, and culture, each painting transforms familiar coastal subjects into dreamlike visual stories.
The collection is built around two distinct yet connected worlds:

Nightfall

The Nightfall Collection reimagines the Gulf Coast after dark. Deep black negative space, glowing reflections, luminous moons, vibrant neon accents, and bold silhouettes create dramatic, cinematic compositions. Familiar coastal subjects become part of surreal narratives filled with mystery, discovery, and wonder. Floating lights, oversized celestial objects, and unexpected visual relationships invite viewers into a world where the ordinary becomes extraordinary.

Daybreak

The Daybreak Collection captures the Gulf Coast through soft light, airy color, and quiet wonder. Bright turquoise waters, subtle peach sunrises, soft grays, and clean coastal landscapes create a sense of calm optimism. Marine life, local landmarks, and whimsical surreal elements appear naturally within the scene, blending reality with imagination while maintaining an inviting and peaceful atmosphere.
Two colorful turtle paintings hang side by side on a gallery wall. The left painting features a turtle underwater at night with a cloudy moon above, with bubbles rising to the surface. The right painting depicts a turtle on the ocean surface at sunset under a full moon, with bubbles floating upward.
